38 x 8 x 7 inches

Artist Note:
The sculpture is a totem of objects, symbols and images from recent work. The “Hidden Traveler” within the sculpture is also part of two other sculptures: The Cart With the Cloven Hoof… and The Way of the Cart. The anvil on the base represents my studio/foundry. The anvil is marked “Acme” which is in honor of Wile E. Coyote, who will hopefully become an important Icon in 3 or 4 hundred years. The “French Daredevil” made his debut on this sculpture and was sent on a fatal mission on a later sculpture titled, “The French Daredevil's Fatal Mission”. On top is “Grandmaster P’s
She Goat”, a small copy of Picasso’s "She Goat", 1950, which is exhibited at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Above the “French Daredevil” sits a barrel of oil, which seems to bear great importance in this, the 21st century.

I made these sculptures during the Iraqi invasion in 2003 on April 8, 9 and 10th. This was during the time when the museums were being looted. I was thinking of all the lost art.

Queen Nefertiti's Traveling Prophecy 2004
26x6x6 in.
Unique cast and fabricated bronze with jet (the mineral), pink quartz and gastrolith

Artist note: In my way of thinking, the mineral jet and the gastrolith both relate to the history of oil and on the sculpture is a barrel of oil. This sculpture is about Queen Nefertiti's relationship with oil (none, I'm sure). The gastrolith is from a dinosaur, also an oil reference. Nothing can be gleaned from this distortion except it was the story I made up as I created the piece. There is also a swan on the base which is to me symbolic of the San Francisco Palace of Fine Art.
